Paws 4 Wilson Twins

January 18, 2014

We have been busy little bees around here.  Back to second half of school year, homework, tests, gymnastics, cheerleading, therapy, and of course fundraising.  We have been so blessed with such wonderful family and friends.  I just sent in more donations from the necklaces, doodles, and calendar sales, as well as, generous gifts from so many wonderful people.  Everyone we know has been so supportive of this journey we have begun.  My spirit has truly been renewed with the outpouring of support from total strangers as well.  People do have such kind hearts and want to help others.  I know that there will come a day when our family will be able to do the same for others.

Alannah and Bella started cheerleading for Upward basketball at a local church and are loving it.  Bella told me this morning while getting ready for the game, "Mommy, I think cheerleading is my thing."  I am so grateful for this organization and the leaders who treat my girls just like all of the others.  Both girls just want to do what all of the other kids their age are doing.  It makes me even more determined and excited about getting the service dogs.  What independence they will have, not having to rely on an adult to be with them all of the time.  As hard as it is for me to let them grow up, I can't imagine how hard it is for them to be almost 13 years old and have to have Mommy and/or Daddy "hanging out" with them and their friends because they might need our help.  Their determination in wanting to be independent makes me know that they will be okay in the future.  If only I could go after life with the same determination. Oh how I learn from all 3 of my girls daily and thank God for giving me such amazing daughters!
